Hi, many of you know me as Sam, the irritatingly English bloke with a foreign culture fixation. Others of you know me as Ophiopogon, the wild shape-shifting Druid from the slopes of Teldrassil. Then there are those of you who know me as "That hairy git from the bar". I have also been known to answer to such names as "the referee", "the bolster cushion", "the thorn in my side", "sweety", "bastard" & "oi you". All are accurate reflections of who I am.

Why am I here? To broaden my mind, my horizons & hopefully my social circle. I am also hoping to disprove the theory that online communities are the elephant's graveyard of the fertile mind. Excuse the bitterness - it won't last. I have spent the last 5 years grappling with the theory that long distance relationships never work. So far, the theory's winning...
